We couldn't have done any of this brick work without my dad. For a long time, he worked as a mason at my grandpa's masonry business. Those years of experience came in very handy for us! :)
The empty corner in our living room before...
Making sure the brick stayed straight.
Grandpa helping Britt install the last brick on the wall.
After 2 days of measuring, brick cutting, and cementing, here's the finished corner!
Now we just need to have Justin's dad over to help install the stovepipe/chimney and we can add this little beauty to the corner. {CAN'T WAIT!} :)

I love it! It's so pretty. And--you're right--Dad is pretty amazing and talented! :) I didn't realize you were putting it in that room--I thought you were putting it in the family room? (Is that what you guys call the big, bonus room with the game tables?) Maybe I was thinking that because you used to have a stove cut-out in that room, didn't you? Or, maybe I'm just losing it...that's VERY possible! :) Anyway--it looks really nice. I'm excited to see it--in person! And, way to go Justin on always getting you such thoughtful gifts! He's always giving you the perfect thing.
Wow, all that work looks like it will be fun to enjoy once the fireplace is in place! I agree, that living up there it would be so nice to have a fireplace to enjoy the cold outside weather. Can't wait to see it in person some day, hopefully sooner then later. :)
I totally want to put in a wood burning stove in my house one day. The brick looks amazing! If we do it, it will not be that nice:) When you get it all finsihed call me, I want to come see it.
Wow! I love it!
Looks so great! It's going to be so nice and cozy. I'm jealous. If we put one in we'd have to turn on the A/C.
Oh you will LOVE it! In our house right now there is a wood stove and it is our only heat and it keeps us SO warm! I will be sad to go back to central heating when we move :(
