I promised myself that I will take the time to sit down every few months and blog about all the fun stages (and even the not so fun stages) Britt and Marnie are flying through. They go by faster and faster, and I worry that I may forget their adorable quirks when they turn into moody teenagers.
What a beautiful little godzilla we have. :) She's decided that she's a princess, and dresses accordingly. She would watch Tangled 20 times a day, if we let her. Lately, she's been known to climb atop the table and use it as a stage. Singing, dancing, twirling, giggling...she's a little girl, alright. Aside from her princess dress and eating the cream filling out of Oreos, I'd have to say her favorite thing is reading books. She'll memorize them as we read, then read them back to me. She loves to count things (up to 17), and tries to spell everything like Britt does. He'll say, "bat, B-A-T." and she'll say, "dog, B-O-F." She loves to carry around a notepad and pencil and "take orders" like she works in a cafe. She's been enjoying our mommy-&-me swimming lessons. She's quite a swimmer, but not as brave in the water as Britt was at 2 1/2. Which she assures me is only because she doesn't like for her ears to get wet. What would we do without her persnickety personality?
This boy is one-of-a-kind. His favorite things right now are (still) Superheroes (Spider-Man is currently reigning supreme), reading by himself, painting and drawing, swimming, playing T-ball, emptying the dishwasher, playing with his hamster, fighting with his sister (I told you some would be not so fun), hanging out with his 19-year-old uncle and his 19 year-old friends (Britt's pretty sure he's 19 too), playing Scrabble, and watching the PBS series Wild Kratts (SO up his alley). He loves to learn new words and use them in daily speech. Just yesterday he told me that something costs "an extortionate amount of money." He's dying for Kindergarten to start, and wishing we had a pool so he could work on his backstroke everyday. He's still the funniest kid we've ever met.

Bri, I want to be like you when I grow up! An awesome mommy! I am so bad about keeping a journal too! I was just thinking that the other day. You inspire me. I need to do like you do. :)
Marnie and Britt really are funny kids! I love hearing about all the fun stuff they do and how flippin smart they both are. I love that Marnie likes to dance on the table so cute! And Ryken has watched that wild kratts show a few times and he loves it too! I can totally see Britt loving it too! Man I wish we lived closer! Move down here dangit. :)
Marnie and Autumn are so much alike. She has watched Tangled at least 20 times, her favorite part is the dancing and she has to have on a princess dress. It would be fun to let these two play together a little longer.
Your kids are so adorable! Too bad there's an ocean between us, I'm sure the kids would have a blast playing together. I'll have to send Britt some of our geckos! We have plenty!
Your kids are so precious and so smart! We need to get together soon. I am worried you are going to move and us not getting together before you leave. I will be calling you soon:)
