The beginning of August, we made our move to the big city. Well, we're not downtown or anything, but we can get to Target in less than 10 minutes, so we consider it "the big city." Huge thanks to our folks for all their help! We had quite the caravan of cars, people, and pets. It was definitely a trip to remember.

I swear, after loading things into every nook and cranny of this truck, our cars, and my dad's truck, this empty moving truck was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen.

Griz has had a tough time getting acclimated to the heat. I don't think there's been a day that the temperatures didn't top 110 degrees since we moved. We even saw 117 a few days ago. Luckily though, Marnie is always willing to spray him with a squirt bottle to help him cool down.

Just a few days after we moved in, Britt started school. He loves it all: his teacher, his classmates, taking a lunch to school, and the huge covered playground. His school is right down the street from our house, which will make it easy to walk...maybe this Fall. :)

I snapped this picture of the San Tan mountains on my phone while we were on the way to the grocery store a few days ago. We really like the area where we live. It's nice to be surrounded by fields and farms, but only be a short drive from all the big city conveniences.

I totally know what you mean...that empty truck IS a beautiful site. Poor Grizzy. Hopefully you guys have already experienced the worst of the heat for this year. I'm glad Britt's loving school. And this last picture is awesome. Sounds like you're living in the perfect location.
