In February, we celebrated four years of Marnie Jayne. She requested the pinkest cake, with lots of sprinkles. It works out perfectly that this girly girl's birthday is just a few days before Valentine's Day, because that is the ideal time to find pink EVERYTHING. She happened to have a rainy birthday (funny, because Britt did too) so she ended up riding her new bike around the kitchen table all day, instead of around our neighborhood.
| Fluffy dress, high heels, dainty gloves, and a purse: isn't that the way all ladies ride a bike? |
| We had to do some grocery shopping on her birthday, and she sweet-talked her way into getting her own big candy bar. Plain Hershey's chocolate is her treat of choice. She made me get one for myself too (it took a lot of coercion) and we pigged out in the car. |
| She's got her eyes on that frosting. |
| FaceTime and cake time! |
| This is one of my favorites. Britt was thrilled to welcome home his own baby sister. We walked in the house and he yanked the blanket off of her so he could touch her little toes. He was in love. He has his moments when I think he wishes she was still tiny and sweet, but no matter how bossy and sassy she can be, he still adores his baby sister. |

| Our dainty little 9 pounder. |
| This smile... :) |
| I've never known a princess who could make a face like that. |
| This day had to be documented. She wore JEANS! She hasn't worn jeans since... who knows! |
| Looking so grown up |
| She's been saying she was four since she was two, and now she's finally not lying. |
There's that take-no-crap attitude. Louis CK had a part in his act where he talked about how his daughter can be very bossy and assertive, but it makes him feel better because he knows no one will ever be able to mess with her, and he knows he would never have to worry about her surviving a zombie apocalypse. Way funnier when he says it, but That. Is. Marnie. |

| The best little lady there ever was. |

Um...what a GORGEOUS little girl!!! She looks so different in jeans! Her hair is so pretty! I still can't believe she started out with such dark hair. We sure miss Marnie! She and Emelyn are so similar in so many ways. They love the princesses and Barbies! :) I love the picture of her with the chocolate bar. I want to eat one right now actually... Happy Birthday Marnie! Did she ever get our package in the mail? I just thought of that. Anyway--great post about a great little girl! Love her!
