It took me almost two years to get back to a concert venue after Britt was born, but only three weeks after Marnie was born. :) It had to be a very special show to get me to leave my babies this time, and a special show it was! 10 years ago Jimmy Eat World released one of the best cds of all time, Clarity. As a celebration of the 10-year anniversary, they played 10 shows around the country during which they performed the entire Clarity cd. The tour ended with a show in their home-state (good-old Arizona). This alone thrilled us (as Clarity is our favorite of their cds) but to top it off, the opening band was No Knife! Justin and I have been huge fans of those guys for several years. We saw them once when we were dating (about 8 years ago) and although they have since broken up, they still rocked the house for this mini-reunion tour. It was an awesome night!
Some of my favorite parts of the weekend: introducing Marnie to Aunt Brandi's family and Great-Grandpa Jones, shopping, In & Out Burger, playing with Webbs at the mall, IHOP, more shopping, a new bike for me!, YC's mongolian grill, concert {featuring No Knife and Jimmy Eat World}, reunion of the Corn Dog Club, midnight sandwiches, even more shopping, Yogurtini, and happy kids who slept the whole way home :)
