the rest of our trip

Our trip to the zoo was a bit last-minute. {We had a night at a resort and realized we had to use it before it expired.} We spent the evening before zoo-day at our hotel, which was amazing. A few of my favorite things about this particular place were: the full kitchen, the bathtub so big we could ALL fit in it (you think I'm kidding, but we checked) and the private balcony. The kids were nuts about that part too. They lounged out there until the Suns game was over and it was time to head to the pool, and the next morning they couldn't wait to eat breakfast in the fresh morning air. They both enjoyed waving and saying hello to the passers-by and Marnie even barked at a dog or two.

Happy kids at breakfast time.

Look who swiped a powdered donut from her brother...

One way to keep MJ happy in the car is to give her a whole apple. Buys us at least 9 minutes of peace.

Since we were so close to South Mountain, we took a little drive there on our way to the zoo (not that it was actually on the way to the zoo). It was so cool and had gorgeous views. Justin and I decided to add it to our list of AZ sites that we'd like to view from our bikes. :)

FUN! I am sad that I didn't get to see you, especially if you were by south mountain. We are close to there. :( Oh well maybe another time. But how nice that you got to stay at a nice hotel! I want to do that, but preferably without mykiddos. :) I know I am a mean mom.

What a great hotel room! Ellee was going CRAZY looking at Britt and Marnie. They're so cute! I love Marnie's little painted pigs as she's kickin' it on the lounge chair. :)
