Who knew that a jar of conversation hearts would be the beginning of our Britt's transformation into a reader!? He could sit and sound out the words on them all day. I always say that jellybeans potty trained him, so it makes sense that conversation hearts taught him to read.
The moment we walk into Grandma & Grandpa Brimhall's house, Marnie sets off to find "her" stool. Some of its uses are good, even helpful {standing on it to get her own drink, use the big toilet by herself, or turn the fan/light on/off} and some are not so great {using it to gain access to a bowl of ranch veggie dip- then eating insane amounts of said dip, etc.} Either way, she loves the independence she gets from using "her" stool. She discovered a new use for it during the Super Bowl yesterday...front row seat. :)
Another regular thing at G & G's house is playing cats. She gets a chenille pipe cleaner out of Grandma's craft cabinet and puts it in her mouth to look like whiskers. Who wouldn't want to pick up this little kitty and scratch her behind the ears? :)
Britt has taken his camera everywhere with him lately, and she finally managed to sneak it away and snap a few pictures of her own yesterday...
Those pictures and more, next time.

I love these pictures! I can't believe Britt can read already, wow! By the way, I love the comment you left on my blog. Kids really say hilarious things!
Way to go Britt! Maybe I should pick up some conversation hearts--but I'm sure my girls would just stuff their faces with them! :) Emelyn has started saying several words in the past week. It's crazy! I'm excited for you to hear them when we get back. :)
I enjoy the updates so much. I love seeing pictures of your darling kids and dog:) I would love it if you would come visit me. Any time you feel up to it I am usually here.
