The Inner Basin Trail

In early November we went to Flagstaff to hike with our friends, Chris and Kerry. We hiked the Inner Basin Trail, starting at Lockett Meadow. The road to the meadow is cuh-ray-zee. Seriously. I may have held my breath the whole way up the winding, narrow, edge-of-the-mountain road. The aspen groves made up for it though. All that white bark is pretty magical. We missed the bright yellow leaves by a few weeks, but there was a little snow on the ground, so we were happy. It's fun to get bundled up and enjoying the seasons.

Photo inception... Me taking a picture of Kerry taking a picture of Justin and Chris.

Enough snow for snowballs!

That fine specimen is Kerry and Chris's Bruce, who has an adorable bouncy rump. He herded us along the trail.

Marnie wanted to take some pictures with my big camera, and THIS is one of them! Not bad for a 4-year-old.
(That black dot near the middle is Justin, up the mountain from us.)

Those little legs get tired, and that little girl gets dramatic. So, daddy carries her once in a while.
