He's a big kid now!

Just a quick post to update those of you keeping up with Britt's potty training progress. He's doing really great! For the last few days he's been going "pee-pee" on the potty 3-5 times a day. For the past two days he's woken up dry after nap time! We're pretty surprised at how well he's done thus far, but we've still got a long way to go! Next step: big-boy underwear! We told him that if he could use the potty for a week, we'll let him pick some undies for himself...I can't believe I'm going to be washing little boy undies! It seems like just yesterday he was born!

p.s. Brandi, you've got 2 boys, any tips??

Uh, I don't know. I didn't even really try until they were 3. But I do remember that as soon as they peed in the pull-ups and realized that they didn't leak, that was it. They just kept doing it and never looked back! I tried all of mom's tips but since Tim wasn't to excited to demonstrate the correct boy peeing procedure, and I couldn't, it didn't work out to well. Good Luck though!! :D

Remember to teach him to "pee down". For some reason they dont quite catch on to this. Good luck. Im glad its you and not me. He seems so small to be potty training already. They say, when there ready, there ready. I know Easton just all the sudden one day went in and did it himself. How exciting for you.

OH my gosh! For real? I can't believe he is already starting to be potty trained. He must really want to be "A big boy". That is so exciting but I am sure its lots of work. That really is one thing that I am not looking forward to. :)

Wow! That's awesome! I've learned one thing with my two boys. They are all different. My first is 4 and still has problems with poo in the undies. He used it as a method of control against us. He knew we wanted him to be potty trained so he wouldn't do it. We tried off and on for a year of so. It was a nightmare! And don't be surprised if he regresses. It's normal. But my second completely potty trained himself. He's 2.5 and I wasn't even going to attempt it and then one day he decided that he wanted to use the potty. Although he still for some reason wants to wear diapers. That I can't figure out. But he was totally easy! So they are all different! Good luck!

Wow! Thanks for all the advice and encouragement ladies! I can sure use it! I think Britt is getting better everyday. He used the potty for Dad a few times and he's starting to get excited and yell "pee-pee!" when the 'time-to-pee-pee buzzer' goes off. So far, he hasn't done a #2 in the potty, but I told him if he does he gets 2 jellybeans...so we'll see how that goes...

Keep up the good work. Isabel is having some problems right now that are making potty training not so easy, but we will get there. At least if we are at each others home we know that there is a potty there and from the picture it is the same potty. One thing that Izzy loves is that if she uses the potty then she can put a sticker on the potty. Seems to work.
