6 Facts:
1. I hate meat. I don't like cutting it or cooking it, and I'm not that fond of eating it either. For my husband's sake, I cook it, but if he didn't like it I would have no problem at all going back to my vegetarian days. :)
2. I love kids! I always have and hopefully always will. I love to play with them and talk with them. I think it's so interesting how they view the world and I love their energy and enthusiasm.
3. I am a total Libra! I need to have balance and harmony in everything! I'm easygoing, optimistic, gentle, and I hate injustice. I never really believed in astrology, but I know how I am and it's exactly how a textbook "Libra" is.
4. I cry at least 10 times a day. Not that I'm depressed or anything, but ever since Britt was born, I am a lot more emotional. Most of the crying happens if I see a birth on a TV show, or if Britt remembers a song and sings it so cute, or if I read an article about a child with cancer...pretty much anything that has to do with babies, pregnancy and kids will make me cry.
5. I love to style hair. I had so much fun playing 'stylist' for Jillen, Jensen and Ellee while they were visiting. It makes me so happy that Britt likes me to play with his hair. He'll let me use the flat iron, blow-dryer, even do pigtails! I know that Justin leaves his hair long so I can style it too...pigtails, curls, straight...but nobody gets to see those pictures. :) Oddly though, I don't like doing my own hair...hmmm.
6. I hate it when people are casual spellers. Meaning, I hate when people spell my name with an 'E' and one 'N' or spell Britt's name with only one 'T.' I've always been a stickler for correct spellings. This corresponds with me hating when people call things by the wrong name, for example: Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cups. There are Reese's Pieces and there are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, they are not the same thing!
6 Habits/Quirks:
1. I asked Justin what some of my quirks were, and his response shocked me. I didn't even think about this, but when I get something new (a waffle iron, a mixer, etc.) I use it, then put it back in the box. I think I just like the way it looks in the cupboard if it's in a nice neat box.
2.I have a drawer in my jewelry box that holds nothing but the extra buttons that came with various articles of clothing. I have no idea why I keep them, but I just can't bring myself to throw them away!
3. I hate to read a new magazine in one sitting. I always try to stretch it out over a few days. I like knowing that there is something to look forward to. I do that in a lot of other things too. I like to 'delay gratification' until all my work is done and I can completely relax and enjoy my candybar (or magazine, or whatever).
4. I can't sleep if the bed is not perfectly made before I lay down. The pillows must be fluffed, the sheets must be tucked in, and the sheets have to be smoothed out. It's not as bad as it used to be, I used to lift up the sheets to make sure there were no spiders in the bed too. :)
5. I have to smell a cup before I put something in it to drink. I have no idea why I do this, but it has saved me from drinking out of a dirty cup before (not at my own house, my cups are meticulously cleaned-thank you)
6. I have so many things memorized, it's not even funny. I can hear something only a few times and have it memorized. I can sing the theme song to "The Nanny" and I haven't seen that show in years! I can quote "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" word for word. This is probably the quirk about me that annoys Justin the most...but I just have a good memory! That's probably why I had such an easy time remembering lines when I was in high school plays.
For those of you who saw that it was a long post and just scrolled down to see if there were pictures...yes, there are pictures :)
Britt has a few quirks of his own. One of them being, his love for lotion. :)
He also loves to read parenting magazines.

Yeah! I love it! I didn't realize you also save all your extra buttons...I have all of mine in my "junk drawer." And, I don't think I've ever used one.
About the cup smelling thing--that's a great idea! Cuz...I hate when you pour yourself a nice, refreshing drink and then the cup smells like dead fish or something...what a waste!
Also, I didn't realize you were so emotional. And, I don't mean that in a bad way--I guess we're similar with babies, kids, etc.
One last thing--I love the pictures of Britt. As we sit, Ellee is playing with some hand lotion--she likes me to rub it in and she now has about 5 layers on.
P.S. Thanks for the funny e-mail video link. Beau's such a sweet guy!
And...Brandi--if you're reading this..where's your list!!? :) That AND your 15 of 15--we're all waiting! :)
What are you talking about Brookie? With the email link?
And Breezers...
You can stop crying. I'm sorry that I live so far away and it makes you sad. I guess if you need to cry because you miss Laurissa, then that would be okay. I would ball like a baby if I had to be away from her for that long too.
But can't we all agree that we know why you are crying...because some of you don't see some of us often enough? I think that if we can get this out in the open that at least two things will happen.
First of all, Britt will not be confused about why his mom is crying and mistakenly think that it is his fault...causing additional, and unnecessary sadness for him, which could then in actuality springboard into really making you cry for him.
Second, at the point you come clean so to say, you will allow the 'real healing' to occur. We're all thinking about you Breezers. We hope that you can do this. Just admit it.
Seriously...preach on Uncle Rico!
The brotha knows...
Uh...hay NAPOLEAN!
you're right...
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt!
Breezer...you ROCK LOBSTER!
Once you leave the crying behind, maybe you'll be able to focus your powers of memory on solving the world's problems...and also driving Justin crazy:)
Brianna rhymes with banana...
didn't know if you knew that.
Bye.
Peace out Bri-polean:)
I would think that college gradumates would have more to do than blog! Uncle Rico sounds like a guy that once told me he was not into blogs, well anyway maybe they're related. I say hoorah for buttons! And I do love college students! They're so creative. I'm sure that comes from their Mother's side of the family.
Bri oh my gosh! When I read that you keep all your things in a box after you use them like a waffle maker and stuff. I couldn't help but think you are crazy just like my husband. He does the same thing. I tried to throw a box away that our hand mixer was in after we got married and he took it out of the trash and was like you need to keep the mixer in this so it stacks better in the cupboard. I only thought he was like that. I never knew you were too. :) SILLY KIDS!
Okay so you dont really know me, but I know of you! We actually met like 5 years ago. haha. But I am Cara's friend now and I always hear fun stories about you guys and of course Britt (with two T's). I was just blog stalking...I admit, I do this from time to time...and was reading your "quirks" as you call them. And we have a lot of the same ones. I hate meat, I cant touch raw red meat, I make my husband. I LOVE doing hair. I also keep any button that is attached to a purchase. I also smell cups...but I more smell EVERYTHING before it goes in or near my mouth. Food...drinks...anything. And I also am a wizz at remembering lines from movies as well as most of what you quoted, and yes it also drives my husband crazy. He cant watch any Jim Carey or Chris Farley movie with me anymore. haha. Anyways, I just thought it was funny how much two strangers have in common!! I guess thats why we are both such good friends with Cara! Gotta love her.
