This time he found a caterpillar on our door step (what can I say, bugs like him so much they come looking for him). He was all too excited to show this one off to Ellee and Uncle Brett.
I don't think Ellee was as excited as Britt was... she never got within a foot of the thing! I'm sure she was just protecting her "baby" (cookie monster doll she takes everywhere). :)
It's cool for us to see how comfortable Britt is with such little creatures. He's a natural with bugs and snakes and all kinds of animals. So often, I look at him and see a younger version of my brother Brett...although, Brett is 21 and he still likes to play with bugs and all kinds of creatures. :)
Last week we found a banded argiope (spider) on the wall that separates our driveway from our neighbor's yard, and not even joking, it was the hugest spider any of us had ever seen (tarantulas aside...). Its abdomen was close to 2 inches long. Get out a ruler and see for yourself...HUGE SPIDER! It was pretty creepy looking...

Oh, what a cute boy!!! I love it! Jensen says he is funny and she wishes she had bugs like that at our house. :D Guess it's time for another visit to Granny's!! :)

I have a newphew like Britt. He is OBSESSED with bugs. He's always looking for bugs to put in his bug bags and will spend hours chasing butterflies.
It's so sweet that he's so gentle with them!
YIKES! That spider is scary, is it the actual one that was at your house. If so your camera is awesome. Or its probably just the photographer right? :) And that is a huge catapillar too! Britt is such a brave little guy. Not to mention a cute one too. I would have been with Ellee on this one. I would have stayed away.
No, that's not the actual spider... we did take a picture of it after we caught it in a jar, but it's on Justin's phone and with it being in a jar it was a bit blurry...

Where does he find these things!?! Haha. Just wait til he gets older...who knows what things he'll bring in the house!
